Happy Friday! I hope everyone has a nice and relaxing three-day weekend, and a lovely Valentine’s Day tomorrow!
Happy Friday! I hope everyone has a nice and relaxing three-day weekend, and a lovely Valentine’s Day tomorrow!
I’m a little late to the game, but wanted to share the chicken wings I made for Super Bowl Sunday. This was my first time making wings, and though time-consuming (the frying process took forever!), they were SO good. Not a wing was left on the tray!
My brother, Andy, gave me Bobby Flay’s Mesa Grill cookbook for Christmas and I’ve already made a handful of recipes from the book. Needless to say, I’m obsessed. Everything has been incredible so far, including the meal that I made on NYE. This short rib recipe didn’t let me down either–it was deeeelicious! I decided to make some cilantro oil as well, to give the dish a pop of color.
It’s finally Friday!! Even though work has been super busy, this week went by painfully slow. I’m looking forward to the long weekend and plan on indulging in this banana trifle tonight. :-)
Happy New Year! I made this incredibly delicious (and time consuming!!) pork tenderloin for New Year’s Eve dinner and it was an absolute hit. Not a drop was left on anyone’s plate! I highly advise splitting the workload up into two days, since the sauces can be made a day ahead. :-)
I can’t believe Christmas is only a few days away. Fortunately, I only have to buy one more present, and already wrapped all of my other gifts–that’s a first for me! Considering the past few months have been extremely busy, I’m really looking forward to relaxing at home with family for the next couple weeks. :-)
It’s finally starting to feel like winter in LA, now that it’s cooled down and we’ve had some rain. I couldn’t think of a better meal to eat while bundled up inside than hearty chili. This southwestern chili was full of flavor and unbelievably delicious. It’s even tastier the next day for leftovers!
My roommate and I are hosting a white elephant party tonight and are providing some of the appetizers. I wanted to make something with ground beef, since I had some on hand, so I decided to make a velvety and delicious beef queso dip. I speak from experience when I say that this dip is addicting…I couldn’t stop “taste testing” it last night!
Happy belated Thanksgiving! I spent the holiday at home with my family eating mass amounts of food and drinking copious amounts of wine. We typically celebrate Thanksgiving at a family friend’s home, but since they were out of town this year, we gobbled up the turkey, stuffing and mashed potatoes at my house. I made this decadent pumpkin pie for dessert and it was a huge hit. Although time-consuming, the pie was absolutely worth all the effort!
I hope everyone is having a great Thursday! Can you believe Thanksgiving is already next week? Next week! This month has flown by, and since work has been insanely busy, it’s made the time go by even faster. I worked the Hollywood Film Awards last weekend, and am working the American Music Awards this weekend. I can’t wait!
