It’s finally starting to feel like fall in LA and I could not be happier. The cooler weather calls for cozy clothes and comfort food, like this hearty chili. This chili is packed with flavor and made even more delicious with United Harvest‘s sirloin tip roast. The unbelievably juicy and tender chunks of steak encompassed in the slightly spicy and smoky sauce are a delicious alternative to the standard ground beef typically found in chili. Hearty, and sometimes unhealthy, dishes are often worth the calories—one being this chicken pot pie recipe. It’s simple, yet full of flavor and texture, from the soft potatoes and vegetables infused with butter and thyme to the flaky homemade pie crust, baked to golden brown perfection.
This dish reminds me of when I lived in Ohio and my mom would make it on cold, winter nights. It’s one of those meals that warms you up inside and never fails to put a smile on your face. The homemade crust makes all the difference in the pie, as it has the perfect consistency and subtle salty flavor. This would be a great dish to add to your Thanksgiving menu!

I’m SO excited to share my smashburger recipe using none other than United Harvest meat. Their ground beef is honestly some of the best I’ve ever tasted, made from a unique blend of angus beef and waygu fat, giving the meat an insanely delicious and deep flavor. Better yet, their meat is free of hormones, feed additives, and unnecessary antibiotics. The meat is delicious and mouth watering on its own, but pairs perfectly with my homemade stone ground mustard aioli and classic burger toppings.
United Harvest is running a promo right now for 2lbs of FREE ground beef with orders of $99 or more, so you can give it a try too! Just use code TWOFREE via this link. Go, go, go!

As today marks the last day of summer, I’m celebrating every last minute. I recently partnered with United Harvest to develop recipes and cook some of their high quality meat. The company delivers mindfully sourced meat from small, family farms right to your door. How convenient is that?! So you, too, could order these meaty and tender pork ribs. United Harvest‘s meat is free of hormones, feed additives and unnecessary antibiotics. I really encourage you to give this product a try and hope you love it as much as I did! If you place an order before September 27, 2020, you can use the 15% off code FRIENDS15. continue reading ››
I can’t seem to get enough of fresh corn this summer. It’s on sale almost every time I go to the grocery, so I continue to buy it and work it into our meals each week. This particular corn salad is one of my favorite dishes we’ve made. There’s minimal ingredients and prep work, but it’s bursting with fresh flavors and crisp textures. Highly recommend making it while corn is still in season!

For those non-cheat days when you just need some veggies but don’t want boring old broccoli, whip up this delicious and beautiful beet dish. The beets on their own taste fantastic, but even better when topped with the creamy goat cheese crumbles, crunchy pistachios and tangy orange vinaigrette. Super easy to make and easy on the eyes, too!

We’re back with another killer recipe from Soby’s restaurant in Greenville, South Carolina. I honestly can’t even put into words how delicious these braised short ribs were with the spicy cabbage slaw. As I said in the post title, an explosion of flavor. Wow, wow, wow. Two thumbs up!

Happy Friday! A few weeks ago, my husband and I visited my parents (socially distant, of course), and my mom whipped up this incredibly delicious recipe from Bon Appétit. Honestly, I still have dreams about this bowl. It was SO good with punches of flavor from every component in the dish, complimented by various textures. In two words – delicious and filling.
