In my opinion, you can’t beat the sweet and salty flavor combo. There’s just something about it. Exhibit A: these brown butter toffee cookies with flaky sea salt. They’re out-of-this-world delicious and even better (if that’s possible) straight out of the oven on top of vanilla ice cream. Now we’re talking!

There’s just something about almond desserts that I can’t get enough of – particularly almond croissants. My mom made this almond sheet cake over Labor Day weekend while we were visiting home and WOW, was it good. It basically tasted just like the almond filling in a croissant AKA the best part. I’ve been on a big berry kick this summer…I just can’t get enough! I had some homemade lemon curd in the freezer from my mom that I’d been meaning to use, which is why this extremely easy dessert came to life. It’s layered with lemon curd, lemon mousse and homemade whipped ream (which I over-whipped and the perfectionist in me is cringing), then topped with fresh berries. So, so easy and delicious!

Ever since I tried Magnolia Bakery‘s banana pudding 10-plus years ago, I’ve been hooked. If you’ve tasted this dessert, you can understand the obsession. Although there’s a Magnolia Bakery just a few blocks away from where I live, the frequent banana pudding trips were becoming an expensive habit, so that’s where this homemade, copycat version comes in. For roughly $10 (if you shop generic brands), you can make this massive banana pudding trifle and share with friends and family – or just keep the whole thing for yourself. The dessert couldn’t be easier to prepare and aside from the chilling times, comes together super quickly!
