Hi everyone! It’s been a minute (or a couple months) since I last posted. With a busy work schedule and back-to-back weekends of weddings, bridal showers, bachelorettes – you name it – I haven’t found much time to get in the kitchen! We finally had a weekend at home with absolutely no plans, so we decided to make these incredibly delicious cheeseburger tater tot cups. I found these gems on Pinterest and made a few tweaks to the recipe and boy, were they a hit. These tots are the perfect appetizer for football Saturday and/or Sunday!

I’m a little late to the game, but wanted to share the chicken wings I made for Super Bowl Sunday. This was my first time making wings, and though time-consuming (the frying process took forever!), they were SO good. Not a wing was left on the tray!

I’m a little late, but I hope everyone’s Super Bowl Sunday was a blast (aside from the 49ers losing). My roommate and I had a bunch of friends over to watch the game, eat mass amounts of food and drink an exorbitant amount of beer. We had a variety of appetizers ranging from these stuffed jalapenos to a crock-pot sausage and cheese dip to mini weenies in Jack Daniels sauce to homemade chicken tenders to a kale cheese dip. Since a couple of my friends are vegetarians, I made half of the jalapenos with sausage, and half with just the cheese mixture–both were equally delicious!

We made and ate an excessive amount of food for the Super Bowl. From seven layer dip to spinach artichoke dip to deviled eggs (oh yes, with bacon grease) to homemade chicken tenders to pork sliders to veggie platters…the list goes on.
I was in charge of bringing dessert and wanted to bake cupcakes since I hadn’t in a while, which is odd considering it’s one of my favorite desserts to make. These weren’t just any cupcake though–not only were they filled with a blackberry puree, but they also had a graham cracker crust, which provided a pleasant textural contrast to the light lemon cake. The cupcakes were a hit at the party and I will most definitely be making them again, as should you!
Though I didn’t have a preference who won yesterday, the majority of our party was rooting for the Patriots. So, obviously it wasn’t the desired outcome for them, but congrats to the Giants fans.
Just a glimpse of half of the (half-eaten) food from yesterday.

It seems the entire blogosphere is preparing for Super Bowl Sunday. So, as you’d figure, game day appetizer ideas are aplenty. In addition to my pizza dip, these simple meatballs would be a fantastic snack to make for the game.

With the Super Bowl fast approaching, I thought it fitting to feature my go-to game day snack. Though extremely simple, this pizza dip has always been a favorite. I remember coming home from middle school and making a personal size dip for my afternoon snack (and eating the entire portion–that’s when calories didn’t count). But, I’ll be honest, I could still make a pretty big dent in the dip.
