If you know me well, you know I’m oddly not a chocolate fan (which is why I don’t have many chocolate recipes on my blog – sorry!). But for the sake of everyone else who is a chocolate fan, I figure I need to show some love once in a while. That’s where these chewy chocolate and peanut butter cookies come in. This recipe honestly just came from the Reese’s peanut butter chips bag, but it was a real winner. My husband, mom and dad can attest to that!

I had the pleasure of working with Chocoley again (an online provider of high quality chocolate ingredients), who generously sent me some of its gourmet white chocolate and festive sprinkles to create a sweet Easter treat. I decided to make these ridiculously easy and delicious white chocolate bars, and I must warn you, they’re extremely addicting!!

Those of you who have followed my blog for a few years already know I’m a weirdo who doesn’t like chocolate. So, you could probably guess that I didn’t take that bite out of the brownie–thanks, mom! Although I didn’t taste these delectable treats, they received rave reviews from everyone that tried one. Considering these are called buckeye brownies, I had to take the opportunity to use an Ohio State backdrop. Go Bucks!!

Calling all peanut butter and banana lovers–I think I’ve found your new favorite dessert. These bars are moist and full of flavor, and the Nutella drizzle takes them to the next level. I know I’ll be making these again very soon.
Last weekend, my best friend’s brother (who happens to be my brother’s best friend), got married. The wedding was absolutely gorgeous and one to remember. Congrats Ryan and Stephanie!
If you’re in need of a wedding photographer, I highly recommend Lauren Scotti!

I’m doing everything I can to get these cupcakes out of my apartment as soon as possible–they’re sinfully delicious. I brought a few to work today for my co-workers (who devoured them), and am taking some to my friends tonight.
In all honesty, the cupcakes don’t even need frosting; though, the banana and peanut butter combo is divine. I plan on using just the cupcake recipe next time to make banana bread. But I’ll wait a while to make the bread, as I’d probably finish the loaf in a day and gain 10 pounds. :)

Hope everyone had a wonderful and relaxing holiday with family and friends. I hate to keep this so short, but I’m hopping on a plane to San Francisco for New Year’s. So, with that said, have a fantastic New Year and I’ll see you in 2013! Cheers.

Happy hump day! Although it doesn’t feel like summer here in LA (hooray for June gloom), I’m still embracing seasonal ingredients, dishes and drinks.
After years of making this Chinese chicken pasta, I never thought I’d find a recipe that could compare. But I’ve got to say, this recipe definitely poses some tough competition–and it’s much healthier!

I find it odd that I haven’t shared my all-time favorite peanut butter cookie recipe. I remember my mom and grandma baking these for me growing up. I’d gobble down three or four cookies fresh from the oven every time. Since learning how to make them myself, I still do the same thing. They’re just that good. The cookies have a slightly crunchy exterior, with a soft interior–my ideal texture for a cookie. So, what are you waiting for? Go preheat that oven. ;)

Considering my dad’s favorite flavors are peanut butter and banana, I couldn’t think of a better dessert to serve him on Father’s Day. The recipe suggested adding peanut brittle, which I knew would excite him even more–See’s Candies peanut brittle is his favorite. So, my mom and I made a quick trip to the mall to pick some up.
Although still stuffed after dinner, none of us had a problem making room for a slice of this pie. The crunch of the peanut brittle and slightly chewy vanilla wafer crust complimented the silky vanilla pudding and creamy peanut butter layer.
Though I’ve eaten many a cream pie, I’ve never tasted one as decadent and rich as this peanut butter banana cream pie. One slice is about all I could muster, since the pie is so sweet. I know I’ll be making this recipe again very soon, especially if I’m looking to impress. :)
