Ever since I saw the movie Chef, I’ve wanted to make the cubano sandwich featured in the film. I was able to find the recipe online and decided to give it a go. I’m sure glad I did because this was one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever tasted–SO delicious! I highly recommend making this!

This decadent pork tenderloin sandwich is simple, with a gourmet twist. The crispy, breaded pork tenderloin is complimented by the sweet, apricot mustard spread. Everyone at the dinner table gave the sandwich two thumbs up!

Lately, I’ve seen multiple ‘canning’ posts floating around the blogosphere, which made me realize that I’d never canned anything before. My mom and I decided to give it a go, and canned pickles and peach jam. What a combo, right? Both turned out delicious–separately, of course.
Since I won’t post until next week, I hope everyone has a fun and safe Labor Day weekend. I leave for San Francisco tomorrow night–can’t wait!
