scc turns one! [blog anniversary]
Today marks the one year anniversary of Sweet Caroline’s Cooking! Not only have I expanded my culinary knowledge and skills throughout this journey, but I’ve also “met” some of the kindest and talented food bloggers along the way.
To celebrate my blog’s anniversary, I figured I’d share five of my favorite posts, including my very first post.
So, I’ll take you back to August 2, 2010 when I baked Coca-Cola cupcakes. Though extremely sweet, these moist and flavorful cakes made for the perfect first post (here).
This pumpkin, turkey and zucchini lasagna was some of the best I’ve ever tasted (here). I guarantee you’ll want to try this recipe come fall.
This apple-buttermilk custard pie with cinnamon whipped cream was the first apple pie I’d ever made. The flaky crust paired beautifully with the slightly crunchy sliced apples and crumble topping. The homemade cinnamon whipped cream took the pie to a whole different level (here).
Bobby Flay’s recipe for pumpkin bread pudding with a spicy caramel apple sauce and vanilla bean creme anglaise was the most challenging dessert I’ve attempted thus far (here). Though the pudding was unbelievably delicious, the time commitment was overwhelming–it took me 6+ hours to finish.
The Greenville, SC Hyatt’s chef’s table dinner was one of the most entertaining, and delicious, culinary experiences. Executive chef Karl Lundgren, Greenville Hyatt General Manager Domenick Buffone and Executive sous chef Brandon Lemieux spoiled us with some unbelievable food (here).
Here’s to many more years of food blogging!
