candy cane lane. [white chocolate & peppermint covered pretzel thins]

Since Christmas is fast approaching, I wanted to squeeze in one more holiday post before Sunday. Ever since I tried Trader Joe’s Peppermint Pretzel Slims, I knew I had to recreate them. The concept and preparation is unbelievably simple, yet the flavor combination is divine. I’m pretty sure I finished the entire Trader Joe’s bag in a few days–they’re that addicting. These are a must make. Trust me!

Ashley and Kristy, aren’t you proud of me? This is my second ‘chocolate’ post in a row. ;)

Recipe:

1 1/2 bags (18 oz.) Nestle Premier White Morsels

1 box (6 oz.) Pepperidge Farm Baked Naturals Pretzel Thins

15 candy canes, crushed

Directions:

Pour white chocolate chips into a large glass bowl, then heat for 1 minute in the microwave. Stir chips, then heat for another 30 seconds, or until melted. Be sure not to overheat, or chocolate will dry up.

Cover half of each pretzel thin with white chocolate then sprinkle crushed peppermint on top of chocolate. Place finished pretzels on a wire rack. Once all pretzels are covered and chocolate is dry, transfer to a large plate or Tupperware and chill for at least 2-3 hours, or overnight.
